1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
2 (6 ounce) cans tomato paste
7 white mushrooms, chopped
1 ½ teaspoons dried basil
1 ½ teaspoons oregano
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
salt

DIRECTIONS

In a heated frying pan add a little olive oil, add chopped onions and stir until onions are golden brown, add ground beef and cook until all the pink is gone. Add chopped mushrooms and stir for 5 minutes. Add minced garlic or use garlic press, salt and pepper. Add can of chopped tomatoes and can of tomato paste, stir until sauce is hot, add oregano, basil. Taste to see if you like to add more salt.

If you are making meatballs instead of ground beef in the above recipe do NOT put ground beef instead do everything else and afterwards make the meatballs

INGREDIENTS

1 pound ground beef
2 eggs
½ cup breadcrumbs moistened
Parmesan cheese
Salt and Pepper
Oregano

DIRECTIONS

Mix together about a pound of ground beef, two eggs, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, a little oil and oregano. Mix and roll with hands. Place in the pasta sauce. The sauce must be very hot in order to cook. Cook it all together for about half hour to 45 minutes

Filet Mignon Marinade Recipe

Saturday I cooked a feast!! Filet Mignon seasoned with red wine & vinager, sweet potato poon (yes its really called that) sauteed mushrooms and grilled onions. It was amazing! Ate on the terrace, couldnt ask for anything more.
Level of difficulty: EASY

Recipe for the marinade: so simple
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinager
  • 1/4 cup dry red wine
Let the meat sit in for about 20min on each side. I put the steak on a frying pan without oil and poured the sauce in the pan to cook with it. Cook about 10-15min each side flipping it every 5 minutes.
Depending on how you like your steak cooked.
